Hi folks,

I have spent the past 2 days unable to install wordpress.

I have installed unintsalled many times


The specificed password for user account root is not valid
, or failed to connect to the database  


Please can some one tell me what the real problem is?

I have been through loads of threads and nothing has helped.

I also had mySQL server 5.7 workbench  i unintsalled and then installed again 2 times.

I was so happy to find IIS allows you to install wordpress  - so i decided to use this instaed of WAMP

Hi I can't install the Open Atrium application or even download it from the direct download link. All other applications seem to be working. Can you check if there is something wrong with the install?

Having an issue where no Applications are listing in WPI.

I've tried deleting cached files, but that doesn't help as it looks like an issue with the following feed:

As I read through the forums, this appears to be a reoccurring issue, enough so to warrant an actual verification process prior to adding new applications to the feed.

While trying to install SEO Too Kit, I got the following error:

I have IIS version 10 installed using MS 10

Installed Web platform v5 but it gives msg that it is unable to download the product list from .

Using XP SP3 via Firefox and IE8.

Not sure how to upload the webpi7.log file but here is the beginning.

Not sure how to upload the file if the  rest is needed for troubleshooting.

Interesting, in FireFox I can access the product list at but in IE8, I get IE cannot display the webpage w/words to effect that Windows cannot connect via Http (port 80) , Https (port 443) or FTP (port 21). Interesting...

The WebPI.log shows different locations - wonder why?

Hi, Post Installing WEB PI 5.0 ,  whenever i run , getting error as : Unable to download product list from. Check your network connection and try again.

I have tried registering keys in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\webplatforminstaller with name asProductXMLLocation and value as ' https://www.microsoft.com/web/webpi/5.0/webproductlist.xml' or ' http://www.microsoft.com/web/webpi/5.0/webproductlist.xml' , but still received error.

I dont have any proxy server and I am able to access url : https://www.microsoft.com/web/webpi/5.0/webproductlist.xml from IE(64bit). I have Windows 7 Home Basic.

Please Note : I have a 32 BIT IE installed too in my system , but it never responds so that i can check its LAN settings.

It’s installed successfully
I am able to access its admin section, but didn’t find any way to access its store part

Hi Team, 

Thanks for creating the Web Platform Installer tool. I just completed setting up Wordpress in IIS and this tool made it much easier to download and install most of the dependencies. 

I have some suggestions for improvements that would resolve the problems that I ran into as I learned the tool and got this working

 - Update applications e.g. Wordpress and PHP5.5 haven't been updated in a while

 - Add Microsoft C++ Redistributable 2015 as a Package and include it as it is one of PHP's dependencies

 -  Add some documentation on the /Application:wordpress@wordpress.app feature to automate installs. It's a great feature

Hello,

I've installed successfully PHP v7.0 on my IIS 8.5.9600.16384 with Web Platform Installer.

Now I try to install Drivers 4.0 for php v7.0 but it fail each time I tried (even after a reboot or with deleting WPI cache).

There is a Signature verification failed for a dependency (ODBC13).

If I install ODBC 13 manually, WPI don't recognise it and try to install it with the same signature error.

When using webpicmd to install ServiceBus_1_1, the operation fails when it cannot download NETFramework45

I've tried this on two different systems with the same results, in addition I had someone else try and they are having the same issue.
